Celebrating Social Work Month

This March we celebrated Social Work Month, which gave us the opportunity to recognize the many incredible Social Workers throughout the healthcare system who help our residents and families get connected to the services and resources they need. Though we are fortunate to be surrounded by incredible Social Workers at our local hospitals, hospices, assisted living facilities, and more, the most wonderful Social Worker in the book is our very own Director of Social Services, Hayley Boysel!

Born and raised in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Hayley is getting ready to celebrate her one-year anniversary with Foundations next month! She began her career in long-term care in 2021, after graduating with her bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. As the Director of Social Services at The Landings of Westerville, Hayley facilitates a wide variety of services and resources for our residents. She leads care conferences with our residents and families, establishes residents’ appointments with health services, such as dental, vision, and podiatry, coordinates the setup of home medical equipment and home care services for our discharging residents, files appeals to assist residents with keeping insurance coverage, and so much more. Not only does she do all that, but she can be found doing so with a warm and friendly smile!

Hayley’s favorite part about her job is working closely with our short-term residents and families to coordinate their safe transfers back to their homes. She has a deep passion for supporting residents and families through the tough rehabilitation journey, all while utilizing her talent and resources to help ensure a successful transition back home.

In Hayley’s free time, she enjoys being a coffee enthusiast, camping with her fiancée, and hanging out with her dog, Dale. Hayley is such an integral part of what makes The Landings such a great place to be.
