May Resident of the Month

This May, we are honoring our Resident of the Month, Betty! Betty has lived with us at The Landings of Westerville since October 2022, and boy has she made a positive impact on our facility since being here.

Betty came to The Landings all the way from Waynesburg, Mississippi, where she was born and raised. She lived on a farm, where she and her family planted, harvested, and preserved "everything we needed." Betty says she didn't really have favorite hobbies or activities growing up or take vacations because she and her siblings were very busy doing whatever needed to be done on the farm. When Betty grew up, she owned a beauty shop called "Betty's." She ran the shop by herself and says she loved that calling!



Betty eventually got married to her husband, who she loved very much, and together they had one son and two daughters. A fun fact about Betty is that her favorite shoes are her Sketchers because she can slip her feet right into them and go! Her favorite hobby now is to take walks - in fact, most folks who have visited The Landings are bound to have seen her, as she is usually found diligently walking her laps around the facility.

Betty's favorite season is spring, and her favorite color is purple. You'll know her when you see her because she is usually decked out in all purple clothing! Betty also loves getting her nails done and enjoys visits from all of her friends here at The Landings.

We have loved getting to know Betty! Thank you for being you!
