Walk to End Alzheimer's
September 29th, 2023
The Landings of Westerville cares for many residents and their loved ones who are living with Alzheimer’s dementia. In honor of our residents with dementia, their loved ones, and the ongoing fight for a cure for this destructive disease, The Landings has been honored to fundraise for the Alzheimer’s Association throughout the year. Throughout the year, the Alzheimer’s Association raises dementia awareness, provides education and resources, and fundraises to support research striving for a cure. Each year, these efforts culminate with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is a charity walk and memorial event held in over 600 communities nationwide.
This year, Team Landings set a goal of raising $1,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Our quarterly fundraisers have included a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale, an Anniversary Week Raffle, and the sale of our “Memories Should Last a Lifetime” t-shirts, both within The Landings and also at our local Westerville Farmer’s Market!
We could not be more proud to have surpassed our goal, raising a total of $1,336.65! WOW!
Team Landings of Westerville was honored to not only fundraise for this important cause throughout the year but also to participate in this year’s Columbus Walk to End Alzheimer’s, with a team of over 30 amazing members of The Landings community!
Our awesome team had a blast meeting friends, strangers, colleagues, and plenty of furry friends as we joined together to honor all those who live with and are affected by Alzheimer’s. It was a beautiful day to come together as a community and to be inspired by the commitment to support all those who live with and who are striving to end this disease. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
